Physical Expedition (B)

Jackalyn So 12D (Physical Expedition Group 2)

With the objective of pushing ourselves physically, my group elected to seek variety in challenging ourselves. We chose hiking, a day camp focused on team-building and rock climbing with the aim of developing a range of physical and mental skills: endurance, problem-solving skills, perseverance and attention to detail were required in different capacities. In reflection, we relied on our teachers to oversee the logistics, planning and booking, perhaps more than we should have.

Overall the week brought unexpected obstacles in the form of equipment malfunction and injury. Despite the setbacks, it was our collective responsibility to ensure we left no teammate in trouble, and I think the days pushing ourselves in close proximity brought us closer together. Just what we needed for our final year.
