a) PLK Choi Kai Yau School is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated secondary subject teachers to join us for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning in August 2026.

The positions available for August 2026 are:

• – Economics & Business
• – Music
• – Chinese
• – Geography

The successful candidate should:

• – Possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree or above, and preferably a recognised postgraduate
•    teaching qualification or equivalent e.g. PGCE, PGDE or B.Ed.
• – Have experience teaching their specialist subject preferably with a proven track record in
•    delivering IGCSE courses.
• – Have experience teaching Cello or Double Bass is preferred for Music teacher applicants
• – Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with students,
•    parents and colleagues
• – Be an enthusiastic and energetic team player
• – Be able to lead or contribute to whole-school and extracurricular activities.

b)  We invite applications for the post of Cello/ Double Bass Instructors starting from August 2026:

Job Duties:

• – Teach Cello in small classes or ensemble groups (Primary & Secondary)
• – Help students to prepare regular recital
• – Willingness to work together with other Instrumental Music Teachers as part of a cohesive,
•    supportive team.
• – Writing student progress reports for parents
• – Follow the school instrumental curriculum

Successful candidates should be:

• – Bachelor’s Degree in Music or a related discipline
• – ABRSM/ATCL Diploma level or equivalent qualifications on the Cello/ Double Bass instrument
• – Any relevant training certificates in Cello/ Double Bass
• – At least 3 years related experience in coaching ensemble or instrumental class teaching

c) We are inviting applications for the post of Library Assistant.

The successful candidate should be:

• – Higher Diploma holder or above
• – Holder of the Certificate of Library Assistant and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a

• – Able to work independently, good organizational and interpersonal skills
• – Good command of both English and Chinese and proficient ICT skills

d) We invite applications for the post of Human Resources Assistant.

Job Duties:

• – Support the full spectrum of HR functions in school
• – Maintain staff records and update HR system
• – Perform general administration duties including handling attendance record, filing, data entry etc.

Requirements:

• – Diploma holder or above in Human Resources Management or related disciplines preferred
• – Experience working in school setting preferred
• – Experience working with HR systems
• – A good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
