a)  PLK Choi Kai Yau School is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated secondary English teacher for Maternity Cover from March to June 2025.

The successful candidate should:

  • – possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree or above, plus a recognised postgraduate teaching
  •    qualification or equivalent e.g. PGDE or B.Ed.
  • – have experience teaching English Literature and Language
  • – have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with students,
  •    parents and colleagues
  • – be an enthusiastic and energetic team player
  • – be able to lead or contribute to whole-school and extracurricular activities.

Secondary Subject Teachers:

  • – Business Management/Economics;
  • – Geography;
  • – Physics (preferably with Mathematics teaching experience)

  •    delivering IGCSE & IBDP Drama courses

  •    parents and colleagues
  • – be an enthusiastic and energetic team player
  • – be able to lead or contribute to whole-school and extracurricular activities.

d) PLK Choi Kai Yau School is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design & Technology Technician to join us for the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning in December 2024.

Job Duties:

  • – Assist Design & Technology teachers to prepare teaching materials
  • – Order consumables and equipment and keep an accurate inventory
  • – While under the supervision of the teacher, to assist students to use equipment and machinery
  •    appropriately
  • – Keep departmental equipment maintained and in good working order
  • – Keep the DT workshop safe and free of clutter
  • – Help to implement improvements within the department
  • – Support other subjects’ projects as required
  • – Help put students’ work on display and ensure the general state of the workshop is conducive to
  •    learning
  • – Carry out duties as required by the school

 

The successful candidate should:

  • – be a Diploma holder or above in Design & Technology (Resistant Materials) or related disciplines
  • – be familiar with DT curriculum
  • – have extensive knowledge of CAD and CAM as well as practical experience in a workshop to
  •    operate machinery and equipment required for certain projects.
  • – be good team player, able to handle multi-task and work independently
  • – be proficient in English, Chinese and Mandarin
